Kenworth Semi RestorFX Clearcoat Repair and Ceramic Coatings

Nate Sayler contacted our team about his Kenworth Semi truck used for traveling between his race destinations. This semi was in pretty bad shape when it arrived at our 2904 Gabel Location. The white finish was dulled and rubbing your finger across the rough finish would leave a white residue on your finger. With most of the surface free of major damage, this semi was a great candidate for our RestorFX Clearcoat Repair.

We started this process by taking apart some of the cab so we could essentially reach the entire surface. With the cab hood, this semi stands well over 20 feet tall. Then we focused on taping the chrome pieces and starting the initial surface polishing treatment. This step helps even out the surface and allows us the opportunity to see any imperfections that would require a bit more work. After everything was evened out, every single paint surface was treated with RestorFX Industrial Clearcoat Repair. After the initial application, you could already see the difference. The dull white finish turned into a vibrant glossy finish. All of the scratches and haze were completely removed leaving what looks like a brand new semi without having to repaint anything... it's really something you have to see to believe!

To protect this semi from future damage, after the Nate Sayler graphics were installed, we applied XPEL's Fusion Plus Ceramic Coatings treatment. This application will help maintain the shine by creating a hydrophobic layer to the surface that will actually repel liquids and dirt. We even polished up all of the various chrome elements. They shined right back up without having to replace anything. This was a wonderful project to showcase just what's possible with technologies from MARS of Billings!
